Overview

WSA offers a variety of software engineering courses that were are designed and taught by industry leaders. WSA trainers are practitioners and innovators who also design courses and teach. With our courses and instructors you receive a lot of hard won real world knowledge because you may have noticed the world does not always work the way texts books suggests it should.

Its much more than just knowledge transfer

Training is a powerful socialization and political tool. Group in-house training helps create a common vocabulary and provides people with a shared common experience – an important basis of trust. Training is an essential part of team building.

Starting a training program is an effective way to support and give credibility to a newly announcing a change strategy. Training is also a significant generator of goodwill within the organization. One of the main reasons people leave a company is fear of falling behind. It seem paradoxical, but people are more likely to stay with a company if they believe any day they could walk out the door and get a better job.

As an example how training is much more than knowledge transfer, consider our Business Analyst Boot Camp. Much of the knowledge content is obtainable from reading any good software requirements book such as Karl Wieger’s “In Search of Excellent Requirements”. However, putting ten to fifteen of your staff into a boot camp lead by a requirements expert provides them with an opportunity to collectively comprehend the concepts and collaboratively create solutions that are effective for your organization. During this four day workshop, participants learn the art of analysis and collectively apply, people work with each other, understand each other’s point of view and problems.
